A Little Life - Continued

Katey didn't move from her spot. She just kept crying, Marshmallow came and sat at her feat. She didn't even seam to notice. She knew it would happen eventually; braking up with Bradly. Ever sense she found out she didn't have much longer to live. But it still hurt, even more than she had imagined.

"CALM DOWN?! Don't stinking tell me to calm down! I've been friends with her my whole stinking life and I finally get up the freaking courage to propose and she..."

"Bradly! You're going to have another seizure if you keep this up!" His roommate was trying extremely hard to calm him down, but he was beyond control now. Something broke and Bradly finally threw himself onto his bed and laid down. Tired.

"She hates me...what did I do to deserve that?"

Katey slowly ran out of tears, and stood up. She walked to her bedroom, and sat in the window seat. Marshmallow sat in her lap and she smiled sadly up at the sky.
"I wonder...." She said and tears started to fall again.

"Hey...thanks for coming..." James said as he opened the door. Any time this happened he'd call Kay for Bradly. She was the one who was able to calm him down, almost the only one.

After getting him settled down she decided to go visit Katey, something had happened between them and she knew it without Bradly even saying a word. She walked to her house and knocked on the door.

Katey had fallen asleep in the window seat. Her cheeks were flushed, and Marshmallow was was sitting in her lap.

Kay walked in, having borrowed the key from Arron...that was if something went wrong with Katey and they had to get to her quickly should the door be locked.

"Katey?" Kay called in a soft voice.

Katey woke up at the sound of her name. She got to her feet, causing Marshmallow to meow and walk away.and Placing a hand on her forehead she frowned. Then called.
"I'm in my room Kay. I'll only be a second."
She brushed the cat hairs off her dress. She walked out into the house. She knew another bad thing was coming for sure.

"Hey." Kay hugged her, "So...Bradly had a seizure...and he only has seizures when he panics so I can't figure out why he panicked and he wouldn't tell me because he was half unconscious when I got there. Do you know what happened? Has he been over today?" She asked out of curiosity, she didn't look like she was poking blame, she just looked curious.

Katey stared at her. "What? Oh.... I see.... Thank you for telling me.... Yes.... He was here, but he left already." Her eyes looked slightly glazed over, as if she was about to cry.
"Oh... Well of coarse he left... You just saw him... Right...." She laughed a bit. "Sorry bout that. I'm just a bit frazzled is all. It might be because we broke up...." She felt tears begin to form, and fall down onto the carpet. "I don't know though... I hope he'll be alright...."

Kay looked shocked, "Broke up? He...he was going to propose today. So I'm assuming you did the breaking up then?" She didn't look angry, she just looked extremely disappointed. "I went to his dorm and he was collapsed on the floor. How hard did you hit him with that, Katey? I'm sorry to sound...I...I just don't understand."

"Yes.... Well.... Sometimes things are like that.... Confusing... But... I think it was for the best..." She felt more tears slip past her eyes.

"I'd like to know why, I'm sorry to prod but I won't know what fair is until you tell me." Kay crossed her arms, she really did not think this was right.

"Because. I thought I should." Was Katey's reply. "I'm going to go take a nap, thank you for coming. Your welcome to stay if you like. But I won't be much of a host." She walked back into her bedroom, and closed the door. Crying silently behind it.

And that's when Kay went home and told Arron.

"Of course, she thought she had to and then my second cousin goes home and ends up having a seizure! Did she care, no! Second, any seizure he has is life threatening and she knows it." Kay was frustrated but she tried to hide it for her children's sake.

Landon frowned. "Katey did? Wow... I never would think that...."
Iwa walked up and smiled at his mother. "It's okay." He said though he had only caught part of the conversation.
