In the 'Future' XP

He sighed, but sat down quietly. Without any more questions. But plenty of worries.

Samantha gulped nervously as she poked the syringe in her arm, not once but SIX times, if she was lucky it wouldn't work.

Max was quiet.

"Done, it's stupid, I bet it won't work." Samantha sat down next to him and kissed him, "Hey...don't give me that look, it's not so bad."

"It's scary." He said kissing her back.

"Yeah I guess so..." Samantha shrugged, she wasn't afraid of anything.

He sighed. "You have no idea what's scary and what's not! Gosh you'd think you were the one who was nine and a half feet tall." He blew his bangs out of his face again, before kissing her.

She kissed him back, "Are you angry at me?" Samantha leaned on his shoulder.

"No..." He said with an agrivated sigh. "More at myself. I've fought against small armys without anyone but myself for backup. Yet when you do something that's almost certainly not dangerous.... It scares me to death." He said and layed his head on top of hers.

"It might not work..." Samantha said reassuringly.

"Yeah... I supose..." Max said hugging her with one arm.

"If we're lucky it won't! I just was so curious after you asked..." Samantha said.

"I should have kept my mouth shut." He said with a laugh. "Ah well... It probably won't work anyway... Sense it was originally my idea." He smiled at her.

Samantha sighed and rested her head on the table, "I'm exhausted actually..."

"You should get some sleep..." He said standing up.


"MOMMY! Look it!!!! Daddy lost again! I can't believe it! You'd think after loosing over a hundred times he'd get board and want to win for once..." "I do want to win! I just can't. Really... Stop bragging so much." "Uh oh I think daddy's getting mad." Clara said laughing and walked over to kiss Mathew. "It's just a game." She added shaking her head at them.

Samantha nodded and fell asleep sitting there. She was cute when she slept.

He brushed some hair off her face and kissed her cheek before leaving. "Sweet dreams..." He murmured as he left.


"Yeah but he always looses... I can't wait for my cat to get here." He said with a sigh. "Oh boy... I'm being replaced by a cat." Mathew looked at Clara. "Can you believe it?" "Well I won't replace you." She said hugging him. "Thanks allot. Way to boost my confidence." He joked.

To Samantha's surprise nothing happened, she woke up two hours later looking like her same skinny self. She sighed with relief and went to look for Max.

Max was watching the 'kids'. Samuel was standing on the ceiling, literally. "This is cool!" He laughed. "I can fly upside down!" Clara sighed. "So it worked on him then?" "Looks like it..." Said Max and Mathew at the same time. "Makes sense...." She said shaking her head at him. "So how do we get him to come down?" Max shrugged. "I don't know.... He'll probably come down when he wants too..." Samuel was still laughing, now he was sitting cross legged on Max's head, without putting any real weight on him.

Samantha came in and laughed a little at what she saw, "Hey guys!" She said between laughs.

"Guess what!" Shouted Samuel hovering just enough above the ground that he was the same height as her. "I'm invisible!" "Invulnerable" Corrected Max. "No invisible! Watch!" He dissipeared. "Okay.... I didn't know he could do that...." Max said looking dumbfounded. "Neither did I, but I wanted to try." Laughed Samuel from nowhere.

Samantha laughed then she looked at Max, "It didn't work! Nothing happened to me, see?" She spun around, her curls bounced as she did.

He smiled, and kissed her. "Nothing bad that we can see anyway." Samuel appeared again. "You tested something? What was it? Why are you and Max happy it didn't work. And how on earth did you find babies that had red hair and green eyes? You know that they're supposed to be really wanted right now. It's like the new thing on the planet to get twins with red hair and green eyes. Kind of weird don't you think? I do... A fad for babies? Strange what people come up with these days." He shook his head. "I think his new powers gave him a sugar rush..." said Clara looking concerned and a bit confused. "Not a sugar rush, more like.... A excited rush." He said laughing again. "I feel light as a feather now. As if I've lost all of my worries... It's kind of nice actually." He laughed again.

Samantha had red hair and green eyes against her will of course. "Ah...I don't know, Clara was really lucky I guess! And yes I tested something but it's none of your business what it is...you are too young to understand."

"Hmm... So I've been told about allot of things... But I usually figure it out, and understand it almost perfectly with few questions." He said laughing again. "I wonder what would happen if I were to jump from a building now...." he said placing a hand on his chin and flipping around in circles in mid air. "Probably nothing, but I wouldn't try it." Said Max shaking his head. "Why not? If I got scared at the end I could just fly away. Anyway I know a whole lot more about allot of things than either of my parents so you can tell me, they probably won't get a word of what your saying anyway." He smiled at Samantha, and looked her in the eyes, all be it upside down. But ash mauve eyes are just as pretty upside down as any other way. "Please?"
