Random RP for me and Cricket

"This is a hospital Tammy! There's medicine everywhere! If you'll come with me, I'll find you something to take." He spoke softly, and kindly as he gently rubbed her back.

Tammy suddenly gagged, her hand flying up to her mouth as she made a dash for the bathroom. She could be heard retching from that moment on and didn't come out for a long time. When she did she was holding her stomach in pain and crying.

Shayne stared at her dumbly. He had no idea what was going on. "Tammy... this can't simply be viral...."

Tammy sat down breathing heavily as she tried to get over the pain, "It hurt so bad...the last few times I couldn't even get anything up it was just dry...it hurts." She sobbed, knowing perfectly well what it was.
How can I tell him that I'm pregnant? She thought mournfully.

Suddenly, she was wrapped in a warm embrace. "I'm sorry... I don't know what could be causing this..."

"I do..." Tammy suddenly blurted with a quick swing of emotion. Her eyes linked to his as tears ran down her cheeks.

Shayne stared at her as his whole body went seemingly numb. "Y-you aren't what I think you're saying you are... are you?" He sputtered, shaking like a leaf on a tree.

"I'm pregnant..." Tammy muttered almost in a scared voice, her eyes began to water uncontrollably with tears, "I feel like I'm going to die, Shayne!" She sobbed.

Shayne wrapped her in a hug again. "Well... I don't suppose this would be a good time for me to ask you to marry me... would it?" He whispered softly in her ear as he held close, trying to still her tears. He wasn't mad at all. On the contrary, he felt almost... happy.

Tammy looked at him, "Wh-What?" She asked in shock, her tears stopped coming and the pain became almost nonexistent.

Shayne gulped past the newly formed lump in his throat, and looked her in the eye. "I uh... well I was waiting for the right time to ask you today... but I suppose now is as good as any." He took her by her left hand, and knelt down to one knee, and swiftly pulled a small, black box out of his pocket, and opened it to reveal a simple, yet elegant diamond engagement ring. "Will you do me the glorious honor of marrying me?"

Since they were in the break room, they now had an audience.

Tammy began to sob as she reached out her hand for him, "Yes...I'd love to marry you Shayne!" She sobbed but had the biggest smile on her face.

Shayne deftly slipped the ring on her finger, then stood, and pulled her close to him yet again. "Thank you... I love you so much."

Suddenly the whole crowd seemed to be clapping, quite a few people had gathered to watch the proposal and were all congratulating them.

Shayne couldn't stop smiling. He became a fiancee` and a father-to-be in just one day. He ignored the crowd though. The only thing that mattered to him was the girl standing there in his arms, wearing the ring he gave her, and carrying his child.

For the next few weeks Tammy was overcome with jitters of all kinds mostly knowing she would be having a wedding sometime soon and then...she sighed and placed her hands on her stomach gulping down a lump in her throat.
Why does this have to be scary? She thought as she slipped on her nightgown and sat at the edge of the bed.

Shayne was already flopped out on the mattress, almost drawn into a deep slumber. He had been awake since 3:30 thaat morning, and it was 11:00... he was pretty much dead to the world anyway.

Tammy sighed and laid down next to him starting to fall asleep.

Tammy opened her eyes to a world made completely of white. Looking over she could see a pink cradle rocking from side to side. She walked over nervously and looked in to see nothing just a blanket, a pillow and a little teddy bear. Her heart pounded with anticipation as she felt a sharp pain in her stomach.
"Ow! Dang it!"

"Ugh...it hurts...help!" She screamed but it was in her sleep.

Shayne shot straight up in bed, and flicked the light on, fumbling for his glasses. He looked over, and stared at his fiancee` beside him.

Tammy rolled onto her side, "It's coming! Oh gosh it hurts so bad!" She muttered in her sleep grasping her stomach as if it hurt.

Shayne laid a hand on her shoulder, and gently shook her. "Tammy, Tammy! Wake up, it's just a dream!"

Tammy opened her eyes and looked at him, "Shayne?" She sat up suddenly and hugged him, "Oh gosh I don't think I can do this...it was so scary!"

Shayne held her firmly. "No, I think you can... you're the strongest person I know."

"I'm going to be so huge! I'm not sure I can handle doing this!" Tammy sobbed, of course in her dream it happened out of nowhere.

"You can handle it. Of that, I am most certain!" He kissed her neck as he held her lovingly.
