Random RP for me and Cricket

Kirah stared disbelievingly... there was no way... "Robert? C-can you hear me?" She was standing by his bed, and still trembling after using most of her energy screaming at the doctor to stop.

Robert opened his eyes, he looked really weak.
"Ki'ah?" He slurred a little in saying her name, but surely recovering from the coma later would fix it, his mind just wasn't there yet.

Cloe covered her mouth in shock as tears of joy ran down her cheeks.

Kirah burst into tears as she suddenly wrapped him in a hug, sobbing uncontrollably. "I thought I had lost you!" Her body shook with every sob, and found that her legs had grown weak too.

"N-No...I promised..." Robert was shaky as he wrapped his arms around her, his body was still overcome with shock, he was also trying to breathe better on his own.

Kirah kissed him on the cheek, and eventually pulled away. She helped him sit up so he could get air in his lungs more effectively. "You're right... you did promise. I shouldn't have ever doubted you... I'm sorry."

"Don't apologize..." He took in a strong breath and led out a full one as well, the fresh air felt excellent to him unlike what he'd been receiving the past month. Even being in a dead sleep he could tell the difference.

"I am sorry for acting so brave yesterday...I should have just let the police handle it." He said suddenly, thinking he'd only been asleep a day.

Kirah raised an eyebrow. "Yesterda- ...oh. Robert, that happened over a month ago! Y-you've been out so long..." She took his hand, and gave it a reassuring squeeze. "And you didn't 'act' brave. You WERE brave... thank you... the police even said you helped a lot!" She smiled warmly, then looked away with tears in her eyes. She didn't know why, but every time she looked at him, the memory of him laying there bleeding everywhere, and her screaming at him, trying to get him to respond always came back.

"I remembered something that day..." Robert began before laying back down to rest a little bit, "My dad taught me how to fight..." he kind of laughed at himself for a minute. "I wanted to protect you so bad..." He said tiredly.

Kirah sat beside him on the edge of the bed, and hugged him again. "You were my hero that day..." She whispered softly. "And you'll always ever be. I was so proud of you." She buried her face in his neck, and curled her legs up beside him.

Cloe could only watch and smile at the love between them, she realized then that she should not have harbored anger towards Kirah now...now that she'd seen her brother with her and not just the idea...it seemed right.

Robert wrapped his arms around her, "You're my hero for not giving up on me, Kirah..." He whispered to her.

Kirah held him tight a little longer before finally saying, "I wasn't the only one... Cloe is here."

Robert opened his eyes and looked over, "Cloe?"

Cloe smiled bigger and giggled, "Hi Robert...long time no see huh?"

He nodded incredulously and forced himself to sit up, "Yeah it's been a while." He replied.

Kirah really didn't understand, but she let her arms fall to her side, and sat there wondering why Robert seemed a bit upset. She was pondering whether or not she should leave.

Robert appeared to be in a bit of pain but that was to be expected since he just woke up.
"It's really nice to see you here." He said weakly.

Cloe nodded, "I'm sorry I haven't kept in touch recently...things happened beyond my control."

Kirah kissed him on the cheek. "I'll let you two talk." She then got up, and proceeded to walk towards the door.

"Kirah! Ask them to bring pain killers please, my chest is hurting pretty bad right now." He called after her, then he laid back down and sighed tiredly.
"Sorry I don't sound more enthusiastic...I feel so weak right now."

"It's okay, very understandable." Cloe replied.

Kirah nodded, smiling. "Okay!" She then stepped out, shutting the door behind her. Not but two minutes later, a nurse walked in with pain killers, and a cup of water. She set them next to his bed, and walked out silently.

Robert took them quickly and laid back after he was done, "So what happened exactly?" Robert asked out of curiosity.

"It's really really hard to explain so if it's okay..."

"It's fine." He answered before she could finish.

Kirah sighed as she sat down on the floor in the long hallway outside of Robert's room. She couldn't hear what they were saying, and didn't really care to. Her thoughts drifted back to his embrace, and she suddenly felt warm inside. "I know Lord... you told me he'd be okay, but I doubted you anyway. Please forgive me, I know now how stupid I was."

Cloe walked out of the room about an hour later, "Robert wants to see you...I need to go catch my plane now so I'll try to visit with you guys again later." She said.

Kirah stood, and nodded with a smile. "It was nice meeting you, thank you for all you've done!" She then gave Cloe a hug, and walked into Robert's room.

"You wanted to see me?" She asked curiously, with that sly smile she used when she felt mischievous.

Cloe waved goodbye.

Robert sat back up, "Yeah...not for any reason though, it's just because...you're you and I love seeing you." He smiled mischievously as well.

Kirah blushed, and ran to him, ending her short journey in a full on, hold-nothing-back kiss. She reveled in the thought of him being back, being able to hold her again... and the best part? She had butterflies again.

Robert laughed, "You're too cute, you know how much I enjoy your presence...it's special to me." He said holding her close as he kissed her back, he loved her so much.

She sat on the bed, and curled up next to her true love. "I'm not nearly as cute as you when you're sleeping though!" She giggled, and kissed him again before burying her face in his chest, blushing like mad. He was always able to make her uncomfortable in the most wonderful way possible... and she loved it.
